Classical Acupuncture

Qi circulates throughout the body along 12 main and 8 extra meridians. Acupuncture points are specific places on the skin where the meridians rise to the surface of the body. Some other points, so-called extra points, lie outside the main pathways, but can be used as well to influence the flow of Qi. Treatment is carried out by placing fine needles at the acupuncture points.
